The last session

I think that this experience was very interesting, because it helped me to practice more the English that I learned in school and I improved quite a lot some skills like oral presentations and my writing and pronunciation in English. These blogs entries have been very helpful because I learned a lot of new vocabulary to write in the blog, so that’s why I think that using the blog for learning is really useful. I think that we should get feedback on our posts to correct ourselves.

Something nice about this subject is that you can know a lot of people of your own career that are from other generations and people from other careers, and so you can learn a lot about other careers here in FACSO.

What I need to improve are maybe some of my skills at reading because that is the most useful part for I have to read papers in English for some subjects. Right now, for example, we are working on a project due for one of our classes and we have to read a lot of cientifical papers in English. To achieve this I guess I have to start reading text that are simple and then go for the more complex ones so I can improve my vocabulary at the same time.

I normally practice my English when I read papers for my classes or when I translate lyrics of songs I like. Plus, when I go on the Internet the best websites tend to be in English and it forces me to read and learn.

  1. English is very useful in many aspects, and in Psychology is especially useful to reading papers and to do research in some specific areas where the most important material is written in English.
